This research finds that early work and learn experiences are related to high school students’ post-secondary plans, academic preparation for college, and their future plans to continue to work while in post-secondary school (i.e. continue to be a working learner). The author, Sarah Blanchard, presented this research April 10, in Washington, D.C., at the 2016 American Educational Research Association Annual Meeting.
