Justine oversees logistics and programming for the Working Learner Advisory Council. Previously, she worked in disaster recovery and served as a liaison between the University of Iowa and FEMA after the 2008 flood recovery effort. Additional experience includes serving as marketing and development director for the Carnegie Library and Hometown Perry Iowa Museum, and as executive director of the Save the Englert Theater Campaign, a non-profit dedicated to raising $5 million to purchase and renovate a historic live-performance theater. A trained metalsmith, Justine also owned a cooperative art gallery for five years. She holds a master’s degree in fine arts and a B.S. in psychology from the University of Iowa. She also studied nuclear engineering at Georgia Institute of Technology.
